Taipei buses (in Chinese: ¤½¨®)

Four 12m Dennis Dragon A/C and Two 12m Volvo Olympian A/C buses (identical with Citybus's 8xx and 6xx) were owned by HACTL from 1990s until 2002... sold to NWFB as DA93-96 and VA65-66.

CMB purchased 25 Leyland Olympian 11m Air-conditioned buses from 1991. All of them performs very well and are currently serving NWFB in Hong Kong.

CMB purchased two low-height Leyland Olympian with ECW body in 1981 (BR1-9.7m/ BR2-10.4m). They were converted to coach version with high-back seats in 1980s and serve on routes to Stanley. This twins were scrapped in 1997.

CMB purchased a total of 92 Dennis Condor with Duple Metsec body (Air-conditioned) from 1991 to 1997. Some of the early examples were sold back to UK (Ensign) now, while most of them are still serving NWFB in HK.

HK104 originally entered service in CMB since 1949 (with reg. no. 4549). After retirement, it serviced as a refresh kiosk in Wan Chai until 1975. Mr. Rees purchased it and restored to 1949 specifications in 1977. The photos below shows the condition of HK104 in 2003.

Except franchised buses, CMB had a wide range of service vehicles, including Training Buses (Guy Arab V and DMS Fleetline), converted Recovery Vehicles and lorries...

CMB brought 64 VAs from 1994 to 1998, most of them are still serving in NWFB. VA62 & VA64 were sold to Citybus from CMB in 2000.

CMB lost 26 of her routes to Citybus in 1993, there were many surplus in her fleet. CMB sold these buses in 1994 and all of them were scrapped in Yuen Long in 1995-96... :(

CMB purchased 28 Dennis Condor (Dominator 6x2) with improved Duple Metsec body in 1990. Six of them are still in Training Bus/ open-top fleet of Citybus/ NWFB, and DM17 is preserved in UK now.

CMB purchased two Volvo Alisa 12m, 3-axle ("6-wheels") version 1984. Most of their life spent on route 112/ 114 and 914. Retired in 1997, both of them were preserved for a short period and AL2 is located in the restricted area in Sha Tau Kok as a home/ store.

CMB purchased 10 Leyland Olympian 11m non-A/C version with Cummins engine in 1993. All of them performs very well. However, NWFB don't want non-A/C bus and sold them back to UK in 2000.

CMB purchased a total of 206 "DMS" fleetline from Ensign (ex-LT) from 1982. Most of them were put in good use in HK until 1990s. The last one, XF135 left CMB in 1996.

CMB purchased a total of 336 fleetlines from 70s, of which 305 LF (Met. Sec/ Alexander) and 31 SF (Alexander body, except SF1).

CMB purchased 12 MCs in coach seats for routes to Stanley in 1978, and 40 MBs for high-demand routes in 1978-79.

CMB purchased only one Leyland Titan in 1978 for trial purpose. It was the only export version in the world. Scrapped in 1995, it is remembered by bus enthuriasts in HK.

CMB purchased 2 MCW Metrorider midibus only. They have 29 seats and served routes like 10, 182, 47X and 95B. Owing to shortage of parts and limited usage, they were retired in 1996.

CMB has only 7 Dennis Dominator: 6 of which are Alexander-bodies low-height examples (SD), with one East-Lancs bodied demonstrator (DD1). All of them are not exist now...

CMB purchased 48 Dennis Condors (Dominator 6x2) from 1981 to 1989. Except DL2 (a demonstrator at Alexander doby), all completed with Duple Metsec body. Some of them are sold to TOLST and BigBus company in London for open-top bus now!

CMB purchased 20 Carlyle bodied Darts from 1991 (DC), and 8 Marshall one in 1994 for route A20 Airport Express. Now, there are 10 DCs sold to Citybus, while 8 CXs still in CMB non-franchise operation.

Leyland Victory in CMB has 2 types with Alexander (LV1-148) and Duple (LV149-167) body respectively. While Dennis Jubilant has only 30 examples in Alexander body.

Some Ex-CMB buses are preserved by NWFB temporary. These photos shown their conditions after moved from top floor (w/o shelter) of WCH Depot to Ap Lei Chau Depot (with shelter but next to the sea).

These vehicles are: SF3, LF26, MB5, DS1, LV30, LV24(single deck), CP9497(LX316), ex-KMB 4212, and service/ recovery vehicles: AC4764, DT5249, AH4194(PD19).

A Vintage Articulated Trolleybus (1980s to 1990s) preserved and displayed in Guangzhou History Museum!!

China Motor Bus's Chai Wan Depot at 391 Chai Wan Road. There are only 10 buses as permanent residents in this dull deopt now.

The Depot of Agros Bus parked some second-hand Dennis Dominators purchased from Scotland (in 1994). Some of them were converted open-top, but most of them were retired... :-(
